But it can be a little confusing when people start talking about alkaline foods, especially when most of them seem to actually be acidic in nature.
Plus, some of the people that are on TV during the afternoon talk shows don’t seem to have any kind of scientific background, or even know the difference between acids and alkaline. We are normally healthy at about 7.4 on the pH scale, and that is slightly alkaline, with 7.0 being exactly the middle. The idea of changing your diet, one way or the other, to influence the pH level of your blood, is probably really bad science, but, eating the right foods is always good science.
